New GP Led Health Centre and GP Practice in South Birmingham Consultation

A review of the NHS reported that, despite sustained investment and improvement in the NHS over the past ten years, access to primary medical care services (such as GP services) and the quality of those services continues to vary significantly across the country.

South Birmingham PCT will have two schemes to improve access to primary care services in the area: one GP practice to target a population where there is health inequality and one GP led centre in an easy to access location for the whole population. It is the first time in South Birmingham PCT's history that funding has been allocated to increase the number of GP practices in the area. The two new centres will help give local people more choice, more GPs, more appointments and extended access to services to help improve their health.

South Birmingham PCT want to ensure the services are designed around the needs of local people. They have compiled an online questionnaire and would be grateful if you will complete the questionnaire.

Their consultation questionnaire is available via South Birmingham PCT's website and should not take any longer than a few moments to complete. More information can be obtained by visiting http://www.southbirminghampct.nhs.uk/_views/EATPC.html questionnaires can be completed by visiting http://www.bpcssa.nhs.uk/SBPCT_EATPCP_Questionnaire/default.aspx
