Financial Inclusion Service
What is it?
Financial Inclusion is about helping everyone to gain the skills and knowledge to be able to handle money and financial matters.
We do this through a range of financial literacy sessions that make the complex clear. You can attend one of our group modules, ask us to arrange a group session for you and others or request an individual session, whichever you prefer!
What are the modules?
Our six modules are based around the following topics:
- Accessing and using financial services – Bank accounts: How they work and how to get the best from them.
- Borrowing money – What is it? How it works, different types of borrowing and their suitability.
- Bills and Budgeting – Making your money go further, being in control of your finances, taming your bills.
- Saving and Investing – Planning for the future. Have you got enough? Making your money work harder for you.
- Dealing with debt – What is debt? How to deal with it. Are you in control of your borrowing? Where to go for support and advice.
- Retirement Planning – Types of pensions and different ways of saving for the long term future. The lifecycle of a pension, from saving to income, and the choices available at retirement.
