Last week, we celebrated Volunteers Week and in this issue of our newsletter, we wanted to say thank you to all of those who give their time to make a difference here at Age Concern Birmingham and to share some of their stories and experiences. There are also details of our current volunteering opportunities if you are interested in joining the team.

This week is Carers Week and our Carers’ Hub Manager Peter Millington has written about the support that the team have been giving to carers and the launch of the mission to make Birmingham a ‘Carer Friendly City’.

You can also find details of our delicious takeaway deals,  including Fish and Chip Friday and Breakfast Boxes,  available from our Communitea CafĂ© on Boldmere Road in Sutton Coldfield.

To help us to keep making a difference to the lives of older people, please donate to our Margaret’s Mission fundraising campaign here https://givi.ng/mqw9

You can read a copy of the newsletter here. Please do share with anyone who may be interested in the support and services we offer.

Welcome to Lindsey, one of our newest volunteers, who is supporting older residents with shopping and befriending
