We are pleased to announce that our Communitea Cafe has achieved the top rating of 5 in the Food Hygiene scheme. The cafe, which has been open since July 2017, is not only a cafe but a place where the community and groups can come together and enjoy the space with a tasty snack at good value prices.
Age Concern Birmingham Chief Executive, Becky Bews, said ” We are overwhelmed by the support of the community and local councillors, this has enabled us to achieve the opening and ongoing development of our Communitea café hub. We have a committed team of volunteers, staff and students offering quality food, drink and a growing range of groups and activities, many lead by volunteers in a safe friendly space. Each week we are developing our offer in line with our values, reaching out to people who may be isolated or in need. It’s fantastic that as a charity we are in a position to offer this service and by the community supporting the café we can continue to develop the service further”.
Pop by or give us a call on 0121 362 3650 if you would like to know what clubs and groups are running. We look forward to seeing you.
