Dementia Awareness
To give individuals a raised awareness and understanding of dementia. The course identifies the different types of dementia, outline the anatomy and physiology of the condition and will help individuals caring for people with dementia to improve their communication skills.
Protection of Vulnerable Adults
To raise the participant's awareness of elder abuse. The course aims to enable the individual to be more able to recognise abuse and to effectively respond to suspected or actual incidents of abuse.
Diversity and Equality
To give individuals a good overview and basic understanding of diversity, equality and incusion. The course offers a broad overview of discrimination in employment law and looks at why it is important in the workplace, using "real life" and case study information.
All of our courses utilise a range of learning methods including tutor input, group work and discussions. They are all open access and run at our Birmingham city centre venue. Charges per delegate apply [refreshements are included].
