Care & Domestic End of Life Support Worker
Experienced Carer - 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis to include evenings and weekends
Salary: £15,912.00 p.a

To provide a home visiting end of life domiciliary care service, including personal care, to individuals within their own home as detailed in their individual support/care plans, respecting and ensuring their privacy and dignity at all times.
Duties will include:
• assisting/supporting with personal care including bathing, showering, toileting, dressing and care of catheters
• assisting/supporting with and prompting the taking prescribed medications
• assisting/supporting with the preparation of light meals and assisting with feeding when necessary
• cleaning, ironing, shopping and cooking
• updating clients notes, risk assessment and support/care plans
• supporting carers/family members as identified with support/care plan
All tasks undertaken are aimed at maintaining the individual's comfort, physical and mental health and well being in a safe and hygienic environment.

Care & Domestic End of Life Senior Support Worker
Experienced Senior Care Support Worker - 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis to include evenings and weekends
Salary: £18,200.00 p.a

JOB PURPOSE:
• To assist the Registered Manager with the coordination of the End of Life Service.
• To provide a home visiting end of life domiciliary care and domestic service, including personal care, to individuals within their own homes as prescribed within their individual support/care plans, respecting and ensuring their privacy and dignity at all times.
• To liaise with organisations and individuals to receive new referrals and work under the direction of the Registered Manager.
• To undertake the completion of all assessments, documentation and the maintenance of IT systems and to undertake ongoing client reviews.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Providing day to day line management, supervision and appraisal for Support Workers / Advice & Information worker under the guidance of the registered manager.
• Deputising in the absence of the registered manager.
• To take part in the 24 hour on call rota system.
• Carrying out client assessment and reviews.
• Working closely with our partners within the end of life service contract.
• Dealing with any safeguarding issues and complaints under the guidance of the manager.
• Liaising with the Registered Manager on a regular basis to ensure the continued well being and safety of the client and their carers.
All tasks undertaken are aimed at maintaining the individual's comfort, physical and mental health and well being in a safe and hygienic environment as well as ensuring clients remain empowered to make informed choices about the level and nature of care/support they receive.

Handyperson Service
Age Concern Birmingham offers a Handyperson service across Birmingham.
We are looking for experienced handypersons who would like to work in partnership with us on a flexible subcontracting basis to meet the demands of the service.
You must have up to date public liability insurance, be able to provide references to show the quality of your work and ideally have an up to date DBS check, although we can apply for this on your behalf.
We offer good rates of pay.
